Q: Do you have any food and drinks packages?
A: No, the club has no food or drinks packages however we can run a bar TAB for your group which is payable at the end of your function, or alternatively we can run a cash till. There is a commercial kitchen which you’re welcome to use yourselves or hire caterers in to cook for you. There are also two large undercover BBQ’s and a portable BBQ which you may use also.
Q: How many people can the club hold?
A: The club can hold a group of around 200, however only a maximum of 48 people can fit on one green. ( We have 3)
For "sit down" functions (e.g, a wedding) - 120 is a comfortable number.
Q: Are there any days which we can not book a function?
A: There are pennants played on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays through the summer months. These are played during the afternoon so this may or may not affect your booking. This will need to be discussed with us if you wish to book on any of these days.
Q: Are children allowed at the club?
A: Children are welcome at the club – however we have some strict protocols. Children under the age of 6 are NOT allowed on the greens at all (not even in Mum or Dad’s arms).
Children 6 – 12 are allowed on the greens, but MUST be supervised 1 adult to 1 child.
Q: What is the dress code?
A: Neat and tidy clothing to be worn. The club has a policy of no tank tops or singlets for males. If you want to get into the spirit of things fancy dress is encouraged.
Q: What footwear can we wear on the green?
A: Bare feet or socks only unless you have correct bowling shoes. No sports shoes, boat shoes, thongs, sandals, etc.
Q: Does your club host 18th birthday parties?
A: No
Q: Can we hire the club for a 21st Birthday Party?
A: No
Q: Can we hire the club for a bucks show?
A: Yes, however the maximum amount of people permitted at the club for a buck’s party is 20 people.
Q: What are the music options?
A: The club has got a small stage in the hall if you wish to hire and set up a band or juke box for example. There is also a speaker system which we can hook an I-Pod up to for some quiet background music while you are bowling…( This is only an option if there is no pennant bowls been played at the same time).
Q: Can we BYO alcohol?
A: No. The club is a fully licensed venue. We have a large variety of drinks, including soft drinks, fruit juice and water. Our Wine and Beer List is available on the website.
Q: Can we put up decorations in the Hall?
A: Yes decorating is permitted, just remember that what you put up at the start of the night must come down at the end of the night. No confetti/glitter or party poppers are allowed.
Q: Can we run an organized bowls game for our function?
A: Yes, an organized bowls game is always a great idea to get everyone involved. Our instructors are great and can give you a hand to get it up and running on the day. We can provide competition format “templates” (e.g, knock – out, round robin) which you can adapt for your event.
Q: How long does a game of bowls take?
A: It can take as long as you like – each “end” usually takes about 10 minutes.\
Q: Does it cost extra to hire bowls and an Instructor?
A: No, the bowls and the Instructor are included in your Venue Hire fee.
Q: Can we pay our Venue Hire fee and bar tab on account?
A: No, all outstanding amounts – venue hire and bar – must be paid on the day/night of the function.
