Congratulations to Cameron Hoffman on winning the Club 2021 Men’s Singles Championship on Sunday 21 March 2021 in sweltering conditions, which made it very draining for players.
The first to 25 shots final was between Dale Marsland and Cam Hoffman, and was a fine exhibition of draw bowling in the trying conditions. After an even start, Dale pulled away to lead 9-2 after 7 ends. Cam then fought back to level the scores at 13 all on the 13th end. On the 22nd end the players were still locked together at 18 all, but a 4 on the 24th end saw Cam establish a gap that Dale could not close, and Cam ran out the winner 25-22 on the 28th end.
The semi finals saw Cam defeat Steve Hughes 22-13, whilst Dale prevailed over Louis Beurteaux 21-13. In the quarter finals Dale Marsland beat Alek Gryta 21-19 , Louis Beurteaux overcame Mario Van Bemmel 21-9, Cam Hoffman had a walkover over Brian Page, and Steve Hughes accounted for Mark Robertson 21-12.
